    4.2 Cylinder 3 misfire musings - help?

Ta, yes, those all make sense. Battery is only a few months old and while it's been dormant it's been sat on a trickle charger so that should be fine. A bit of use though never does any harm so I'll continue and see what happens. Springs seem fine, they're new and pressures are reading OK on...

    4.2 Cylinder 3 misfire musings - help?

Update to this, apologies for the lateness; I've been working abroad a lot so far this year (ironically one place was opposite a Maserati dealer, I should have popped in to ask their opinion). Anyway, new plug in cylinder 3 alongside the new coil and hey presto it's happy, ticking over nicely...

    4.2 Cylinder 3 misfire musings - help?

I should note that despite this annoyance I did have some success fixing the alarm which had died. Siren was duff so swapped that and then all good again so at least something has gone well. That aside, it was only after swapping the siren that I remembered that it always made me chuckle that...

    4.2 Cylinder 3 misfire musings - help?

Thanks gents. OK, to answer the questions: - Doh, yeah plugs next is obvious! Will do so. - Yep, fuel is fresh although I am going to brim it with V power just in case - Battery is good, was new a couple of months ago after I realised the trickle charger had tripped and the old one was a long...

    4.2 Cylinder 3 misfire musings - help?

Hi all, not been on here for a long while but I still have my QP. It has sat around a lot over the past couple of years while life got in the way. Often on a trickle charger and started up and moved occasionally. REcently I've decided to get my **** in gear, get it recommissioned, use it for a...

QP AC grrrrr (oh yeah and the service indicator)

Hi all, not been on here for a long old while but I still have my QP which has continued to enthral and infuriate in equal measure. So far this year it's needed new brakes (thank god for the new pattern discs eurospares are doing), a new PAS radiator (cheap part (£130) but needs the whole front...

QP (supposed) MSP, ABS and skyhook failure

Ta, yes it definitely seems the most plausible explanation. As it happens almost exactly the same thing happened to our SLK in December and that was just a £30 ABS sensor.

QP (supposed) MSP, ABS and skyhook failure

Hi all, hope you're well. Can anyone throw any light on this one. My QP has thrown up a fault on e MSP, ABS and the suspension. It's done it sporadically a couple of times and now seems more insistent. I've not noticed any difference in driving it and given it thinks all three are playing up I...

    October Llandow track day

I'm here ensconced in the castle view. Quick shower and I'll be up to the George circa 7. Looking at the rain and having had a few bum clenching moments on the motorway I am currently regretting swapping the wheels with the perfectly decent set of normal tyres for the set with the worn semi...

    October Llandow track day

Looking that way and after a quick inspection last night my semi slicks have more meat on them than I recalled so it'll be wheel changing before setting off tomorrow for me. Oh joy, a long motorway journey in the stupid noisy car, my favourite.

    October Llandow track day

I sort of hope so as it'll make my tyre choice that bit easier as my semi slicks have precious life left in them. I'll be annoyed though if I bring normal tyres then it's dry. Last TD I did was in June at Angelsey in a gale with a good inch of standing water on the track all the way round...

    Insurance

Ok, I'm sure this will have come up before but mine is about to lapse and the underwriters who were insuring my QP on a fleet policy are removing that scheme so I need to change. So, who is good for insurance at the moment? For info, the car is a high days and holiday item doing no more than...

Washer Nozzle on 2008 QP pipe come disconnected

Have you taken the washer nozzle out itself? Two second job with a screwdriver to prize them off. You might be lucky and be able to fish the pipe out of the hole. Tw rubber is fairly pliable so with some long nose pliers you might get lucky.

    Llamdow picture thread

Complete aside but I think I saw Graham in the Noble earlier on on the M6 just below J21 going southbound. I was going northbound and clocked the Noble and wondered then noticed a small orange sticker in the top right of the windscreen!

Short and from my phone so far from the best quality. I need to sort out a go pro or something similar for the car. Anyway, here's Enzo making a melodious racket! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v222/Benmac75/32d0a7fb.mp4

    Llamdow picture thread

Great pics all and a great day. First TD I've done in over a year so it was nice to be on track with such a decent bunch. Thanks for sorting it all out Andy. By the time I got back to Cheshire I had had my fill of the Exige for a while (as good on track as it is it's certainly not a...
