Enzo, I think my brother in law is selling his 575 F1 with Fiorano handling pack.....I think its a 2004, but not sure...Red with lovely sand colour leather with daytona seats with red inserts.....He bought it from new and I think there can not be more than 5k on the clock.......I can ask the question if you like.

Sounds fabulous Andy, but am not quite ready...
Have been enjoying my QP for 18 months now and can't part with it just yet...
Tried to make a couple of appointments to view 2 550s today, first one was sold,
then decided not to make the other calls, went for a drive instead and came back with
a big grin. Having said that, I know that at some point I will be making the switch.
Regards,
Enzo.

Good luck Enz, what 550 you test drive? where was it for sale?

First one (which is sold) is on PH at a place caled Saxton...this is only about 20 miles from me.
(Not my favorite colour combo, but wanted to see it anyway).

The 2nd and 3rd ones on my list were these:

Again, not my favorite colour combos, and a little too much mileage on one...
but I wanted to look at few.

I did not even call the dealers on these 2...decided to go for a drive in my QP instead.

The noise on tick over is immense, so loud, cant beat a V12.

This short paragraph from octane, sums it up for me...

"...Where the Maranello shines, though, is in driving refinement. This is a remarkably civilised automobile and that statement doesn't have to be qualified with ‘for a car capable of 200mph'. Potter around the village at a walking pace or blast from that to 100 before you can finish this paragraph, it's all the same to the 550, and come to think of it, the car would probably do either in sixth gear. Unlike the Testarossa, it's actually comfortable with normal everyday driving, and never gives the impression you've got too much car for the circumstances. Furthermore, the service techs at Bob Houghton, who have seen it all, use terms like ‘bulletproof' in connection with the 550; engine builder Peter North says it's the best production Ferrari engine ever..."

The one at DK looks good value, but a bit high on the miles, what is you max mileage, 30K?

Don't really have a max in mind, as long as the service history is complete...
This is a '98 car though, which I am trying to avoid (only because of 'possible' gearbox issues),
happy to be put right on this point if anyone has any direct knowledge...

Is the 2nd and third the same car Enz......I think thats a car they sold before.......What is it with Ferrari and Maserati and the sterring wheel leather coming unstuck of the air bag...and the dash....The silver car has done that.
