I often used to see a red one, which appeared to live on the street, in Aberdeen around this time.I recall when I bought my Stag back in 86 they where quite affordable being of similar age, and like the Stag, just 'a 70's old car'.....

Who is the lovely Italian guy with the metallic green Montreal, I met him a couple of years ago at Compton Verney at a CAD car meetThanks for the compliments on the garage, fully insulated, sink unit fitted and a toilet, also a room above. It's been a god send this last year.

Thanls,Beautiful car - this is the car that really interested me in Italian cars when I was a nipper. I've got a Polistil model of one somewhere in the loft.
Looks like you've done a cracking job so far.
According to www.howmanyleft.co.uk there were 70 registered in the UK at Q4 2020 of which 22 are SORN.Zep
Records show that 3973 cars where built of which 180 are RHD. How many have survived I don't know but am interested in finding out. There are a few in America quite a few in Europe, some in Australia and a couple in New Zealand and a few odd ones in far flung places.
There is an annual meeting that happens in a different country in Europe, it was in Scotland in 2018, there where over thirty attended. I went to it but not in the Montreal. I have some pictures of all the cars parked in front of the hotel, quite a sight. I will dig one out and post it later.
Hope your doors fit better than thatThanls,
I The guy I bought the car from literally had a room full of Montreal models and gave me a Polistil model.

Have to say I am surprised if that means there are 48 still taxed,According to www.howmanyleft.co.uk there were 70 registered in the UK at Q4 2020 of which 22 are SORN.
Saw one at the Italian Car Day at Newby Hall in North Yorks a few years ago - I'll see if I can find a pic.
True dat! I distinctly remember an article in Classic Car, some time late 90s, interview with a classic trader, listing his top most unloved classics - they included Montreal, “I could find you any of the entire RHD production run for sale” Fiat Dino “6 grand car with temperamental 10 grand engine”, Citroen SM “lovely but no one knows how to fix them and they’re all broken”. Pretty sure he also mentioned Espadas and he definitely said “any ISO or Monteverdi”.They were always one of those cars, along with Fiat Dinos and Espadas, where an engine rebuild was more than the value of the car. Things have changed a little.
