Just thought I would get your views on how your age affects the cars that you like, being over 40 My perfect cars generally fall into the 1950-60s apart from new models, but when you speak to younger guys and girls they love 80-90s cars which I can not get excited about. I think it may be what you had on your bedroom wall as a child......

I'm 45 but love the 90's on to be honest...The cars I've owned and the cars I wished had owned mostly come from the 90's and early 2000..............I do like classic cars but I'm very picky when it comes to older cars.......For me the 90's really started to move the game on....I would love a garage filled with this little lot.........911's, Maserati Ghibli, Shamal, 3200, last of the Integrales, M5, M3, Alfa GTV, Alfa SZ, Elise, Lambo Diablo...to name a few...

Well as i was born in the 90's but to be honest, the 2000's were the best for cars in my opinion; Murcielago, MC12, Enzo, Carrera GT, Pagani Zonda (best supercar ever IMO). I think looking back on the cars in the 90's, some have really aged such as the early Diablo's, 348, 911 996 Carrera, 986 Boxster etc.

No your right Dem, the Diablo came out in 1990, the standard 5.7. I was thinking of the Diablo VT which arrived in 1992.

Because i like classic cars, i would say a porsche 356...but a bit modificated to produce something more like the beetle engine :),and a Jag e-type, without modificatios(they're not needed here!!)

Hah, the youth of today.

When I was a lad we had proper gearchanges without that new-fangled synchro whatsit, and you stopped by throwing a tethered lump of pig-iron overboard. Lighting came courtesy of carbide, and we got a farthing and a bowl of soup to grease the drive chains and tiller gear before church on a Sunday morning; come to think of it, the soup was a bit thick and black too. A great joy was to admire the latest motor coats in the Gamages catalogue, excellent for keeping the rain off as were the coats.

These days you're all spoilt with tin tops and gadgets like electric horns, not to mention pneumatic tyres.

Wimps!
