Phil, if the money comes into your account you are on a winner. He would be the one actually taking the risk, he will have transferred his money into some one else’s account and has no guarantee he will ever see the car. Would you do that ? If something seems too good to be true it usually is. Personally, to date it seems too much hassle and I would look to sell elsewhere if you possibly can.If it was me in your position Phil, I'd set up a new separate bank account just to accomodate this transaction. If money comes in and is still good after a period specified by the bank, then I'd let the car go. Good luck.

No need to set up a new account, your bank will confirm this if you’ve doubts. If it was me in your position Phil, I'd set up a new separate bank account just to accomodate this transaction. If money comes in and is still good after a period specified by the bank, then I'd let the car go. Good luck.

Passing on bank details is no hassle at all......Phil, if the money comes into your account you are on a winner. Oh ffs.I have decided to ask him to get his driver to bring cash when collecting car. Can't go wrong then.
Yup u are after the cash scenario,Hopefully no one on here, that's the last thing I would want to do. Hopefully people on here only find this thread interesting. I hope you are not thinking I am wasting your time?
Yup u are after the cash scenario,
Got to be a scam.
#1. can’t see many car collectors genuinely wanting a 4200 or GS
#2. not viewing it
#3. just too much hassle
#4. I’ll send my trusted mechanic etc it’s all the same script they use.
#5. Add a sob story about Covid-19 and kids
Your peeing me off because cash is the most ridiculous, unsafe route to go down.
Counterfeit, virus risk, meeting potentially unscrupulous people face to face etc etc
The simple answer is within the thread. Follow it or fecking drop it.
the above is just u trying to satisfy yourself.
So you wanna waste our time too.I no more think he will show up with cash than Boris Johnson and Matt Hancock knocking up a Coronavirus vaccine in the back garden of number 10 tonight. It is pretty clear to me he is a scammer, I just want to push him further..........For fun cos I have time on my hands at the moment and I am curious how the scam works. Jeez!
So you wanna waste our time too.
I thought u were after some advice as u wanted to sell your car.
Tell u what, I’ll just ignore everything u post from now on as u just scammed me.

Just a thought if you are worried about passing on your Bank Details. If you have a PayPal account you can request he pays into that. No issue there with passing on details you may not want him to know. When he sends 10k to your PayPal account you can then safely transfer to your chosen Bank account.
Even PayPal payments can be reversed. I was approached by a scammer, he was on an oil rig, wanted to buy it for his university graduating son, etc etc etc. I raised it on here knowing full well that it was a scam but the advice was that PayPal too can be reversed.Just a thought if you are worried about passing on your Bank Details.
