If you have been given the vaccine, and are tested the following day or two, would you not then test positive? I thought vaccines actually gave you a small dose so as to build up anti bodies, or is it not as simple?

No vaccine contains a live dose. So it depends what the test is for. If the test detects the presence of antibodies then it’s possible you will test positive as long as your body has produced them, a day or too may not be long enough. Others forms of test may come back negative

Depends what test. Not the current swab or laterflow tests as they test for the presence of viral RNA in your nose and throat. An antigen test (testing for antibodies to demonstrate that you've had the disease) might trip.

Sorry to here that, I am sure you said she was in L&D hospital, is she still there?

She is. She appears to have a bacterial chest infection, and the CV is not really hitting her. Funny thing innit. She'd probably be out of self isolation today if she'd not been in hospital if you get my point. She wasn't tested as no symptoms. No dry cough, no fever, no loss of smell or taste <shrug>

In China you would most definitely go to jail for posting that with reference to its leader. And in many other countries as well. So, in a lot of ways we are not so badly off are we. The fact that it might possibly be true is somewhat irrelevant. Personally I’m more concerned about the next month and the month after not 2035.

How has she managed to pick up a bacterial chest infection? Is her home damp? contain asbestos etc?

Having had numerous chest infections since I was a nipper and spent 3 months in hospital (apparently, including my 1st birthday) I know I have **** lungs and am prone to chest infections so do all I can to limit my chances of getting them. But I can only recall having a bacterial infection twice.
Once was during house renovations (dust etc probably got in them) and last year when I was living in a house with damp and (possibly) asbestos.

Italy's state of emergency may be in place until July. I assumed it was PMQs as well given it is a Wednesday lunchtime, but it is the debate on the national lockdown which will come into force as Labour won't vote against it.
