Ok I understand, I really do. It can’t be much fun being indoctrinated. I will make sure she never does it again, sorry.

To write something like that on the internet and not expect someone to say it was probably a bit hopeful. Everyone has a different approach.

I see this as social responsibility. If everyone behaved like your granddaughter then we wouldn’t need the rules.

If we’d been face to face to face I would have said the same thing.

If we followed the rules we wouldn’t need so many coffins.

I don’t doubt it. What I meant is that the audience is much bigger, so more likely to result in a comment.

Aaaah, back to the number of coffins again, the whole point of my post was to possibly take our minds of the number of coffins for a short while, something nice and simple, something a little bit positive, which I didn’t achieve as far as you are concerned, but instead got quite a negative response, but not from others. Let’s please leave it at that, if I am wrong then I apologize.

Sorry, didn’t mean to antagonise you. I apologise

I heard on the radio this morning that clapping for “Hero’s” is back on from this evening 8pm, I for one will be on the doorstep cheering on all those hero’s that are doing such an amazing job.

As noble an idea as this is, it is utterly pointless, especially with the amount of hypocrites who will clap and then go and meet a group of friends.

I'm sure those in the NHS would much rather we stayed in our homes and kept away from others rather than a round of applause.

Standing on your doorstep has to count as keeping away from others, but that said the NHS staff and others probably don’t really care if we applaud them or not, but for me personally I think they and others do an amazing job and right now is as tough as ever so am happy to do so.
No one is arguing that people shouldn’t follow the rules.

Totally agree Sam. The NHS are amazing. I've several friends who work in the NHS and I'm pretty sure I couldn't do, or put up with the **** they have to deal with, probably on a daily basis. And that's without taking into consideration what they're having to do now with Covid.

I don't disagree, but I think the time spent standing on doorsteps could be better spent, possibly trying to persuade those who can pay them a decent return for what they do, and for the risks they have to take doing it.

I think when it come to politicians and NHS directors I completely agree, when it comes to us plebs, we are powerless.
Last night I could have hugged everyone of the doctors and nurses working back to back shifts and looking after 5times the number of patients than normal - can’t do that, so I will clap for them instead.

Why have we got a Government Minister saying the vaccine might not work with this new Covid variant ?
Just going to cause more panic especially amongst the elderly and non believers.

Well he's technically correct. It might not work. If he doesn't say it, you can bet dollars to donuts Labour will....
