Did you notice that Boris let slip that the worst case scenario could have been 500,000 deaths. First I've heard of that number. Thought it was always around 20,000.I see the 100,00 target is likely to be met according to BBC. Thereby robbing all of our pathetic media the chance of slagging the government off.
The amount of air time with a negative nuance on this subject has been astounding.
Not saying the gov are perfect. I am saying the UK media is shite

The range of planning assumptions is in the National Risk Register, see page 34. It's between 20k and 750k; however that assumption is not Covid specific.Did you notice that Boris let slip that the worst case scenario could have been 500,000 deaths. It was always 550,000. 20,000 was the ‘best case scenario’ which has now been eclipsed when they have started to count Care home deaths...Did you notice that Boris let slip that the worst case scenario could have been 500,000 deaths. The government never said 20,000.
If I recall the media suggested 20,000 at one of the briefings and the reply was 'that would be a good outcome'.
I remember watching it at the time.
From that point on it has been twisted by the media that the government came up with the 20,000 figure.
Well equally they never said 0.5million either ...at least publicly. The government never said 20,000.

Well I have spoken to 6 people today ( on the mobile) and none were aware of the worse case scenario of upwards of 0.5m let alone the National Risk register figures. It was always 550,000. 20,000 was the ‘best case scenario’ which has now been eclipsed when they have started to count Care home deaths...
It was widely publicised based on modelling figures from UCL- thats the only reason they locked down the country. They ideally wanted to keep the economy alive with a Swedish approach - but then realised it wouldn’t work here...Well I have spoken to 6 people today ( on the mobile) and none were aware of the worse case scenario of upwards of 0.5m let alone the National Risk register figures.

A blunt view...They falsified the figures, 122 thousand today included 39 thousand that were POSTED OUT or filled in ONLINE today.
So really it was 83 thousand, just 4 thousand more than yesterday.
When pushed at 5pm today they capitulated then said that was always the way it was going to be. LIARS.
Please someone tell me I'm wrong and explain why.
