The narrative tells us nothing but the pictures say a lot. Don't reckon much to the colour of the car in question but the GranTurismo is now looking old............

I am in two minds (who said that!)

1. Interior looks tidier ergonomically, if a little less characterful than today's model
2. The line along the flanks and the side view look too Audi A7/8 to me. Shape still works though.
3. Still look at a current 4.7 GTS and know where I would put my money.

Bring on another year or two of depreciation.

Hmmmm....not sure. Front is OK, but looks a bit like a CLS. Rear is bland and looks like an Audi. I think this is a wasted opportunity to create something beautiful that stands out from the crowd; sadly this looks like most of the other executive euroboxes out there!

HHHmmm...inclined to agree MAF.....front very smart.......BMWish side on.......no idea what they were thinking about at rear...............

Graypaul Nottingham are e-mailing out with a bit more info. Apparently the doors are frameless.

Having said that MAF.....if they follow the Germanic road and endlessly refine good design and address smaller issues and are even more successful...then might forgive them!!!!

Has the edge over Audi and BMW, but for that money it bl00dy well should do. Agreed that it seems like a missed opportunity. Not sure I agree with Bob that it makes the Granturismo look old. I actually think it makes the Granturismo look even better - sleeker, more interesting, more graceful and stylish.

The back looks too Audi-esque for me but otherwise it looks tasty and that interior is simply GORGEOUS.

A shame a 5,200 mm car will not fit in my parking space :(

Oh well, at least that's one decision made :)

agree with all the "germanic" comments - 10 years ago mercs / beemers / audi's looked totally different - today they've morphed into the same "exec" model - as lovely as that new Qp looks, are there signs its going the same way? hmmm hope not! My money's with Damon's for now!

Agree with Simon its lost a bit of its drop dead gorgeous individuality especially in the rear. The interior is more Germanic, efficiency over aesthetics perhaps. Really need to reserve judgment until I see one. It does look huge in the pics though, has the wheelbase been stretched?

I like the profile a lot, front good, rear average. In a dark colour it will have lots of presence but is 5.2m too long for Europe? Probably not an issue as it's designed for USA and BRIC.

Looks like a BMW gearstick.

8 speed ZF I presume?

Interesting....One to see in the flesh I think..That sway line going to the back is just Audi...Still looks like a QP though..
