Boot opening

Can anyone tell me if the boot should open more than just a short crack when I press the remote opening on a GC? All the other cars I have now have fully opening boots from the remote so I've been pondering this over the weekend. I can't remember it ever doing it, but that's not to say it didn't and I've now just forgotten?

That's all mine have ever done.

Its the italian way - a crack - there the boot is open, what more do you want? The Italians know that not every trip benefits from matching luggage........and certain trips, require a little more discretion (mafia bodies etc)

Those German cars - so keen to show your shopping and luggage to the world at the click of a button...it is so vulgar.... :)

I thought it needed a good tweaking 1st, but it can be difficult to find in the dark and that it's not in the manual..

I think you have to press and hold the button

Not the button on the fob, there's a button at the front of the body that pops up when correctly prepared. If one handles that correctly, the crack opens.

Occasional lube should be sufficient. I guess it depends on what manual? Certainly I've seen it documented many times.....

Clearly you need to practice with the correct button

I had heard that some ladies have practised hard and are able to find and tweak the rear crack button, should a gentleman require it. This is what I've heard anyway
