I always get rid of the wife. Also tends to create space in the garage.

Seriously...do it!!! I would LOVE a Khamsin...
I love the fact that you get to chat with people in different time zones on these forums. Enjoy yesterday evening! It’s nearly noon on my (temporary) side, 3 Jan looks ok so far ;)

Same, and thanks for the update from The Future. Always reassuring to know there's a Tomorrow! And I appreciate you, and this forum, very much...

Another (outside) possibility is going slightly more modern. I went to the Classic Motor Hub near Bibury and was very taken by the 2007 A-M Vanquish S. One owner from new and in the stunning colour of Berwick Bronze. In reality it looks nothing like the pics on their website (which simply look black), as the car is actually a vibrant metallic dark brown. Being a late S it also has all the upgrades and better dashboard.
Cheaper than the Lambo and Maser options also, which is a bonus.

Sorry I meant the 2000-2007 model. I thought it was aluminium panels. Both cars I have looked at in December are described as immaculate but on closer inspection there is corrosion/bubbling under the paint along the edges.
Gotcha, that makes sense. To be honest I'd mentally overlooked the older Vanquish. You're right that corrosion can be an issue and it can be a sod to fix if the aluminium is contaminated and the bubbling just keeps coming back. On the upside, it tends to be pretty isolated, as far as I know. Buy a newer one... or hunt high and low for an older one without any bubbles.

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it" - and if it is, fix it! - as SI know. But secretly an S3 daily could be nice and a GS spyder should be tested;)

That's a handsome car, Ewan. Very muscular haunches and the colour in real life must look fantastic. Rare spec, I would think.

Not for me I'm afraid. I've no interest in owning a modern mid-engine supercar. If I was still in my thirties and still lived in London, then it might be a different story.
For MC20 money I'd be having a full restoration on a Ghibli SS. But I'm not intending to spend that much.

I'm (hypothtically) torn. If I had the money to leave sitting on the drive (which is desperately unlikely to ever happen) I'd go for one. But otherwise........
