I've found that if the wear is more towards the shoulder and smooth then it tends to be camber. If it's over a wider area, say 1/4 - 1/3 of the tyre and a rougher wear it tends to be toe-out causing the problem. Toe causes the tyre to scrub more, whereas camber is just using one portion of the tyre more than the other bits, hence the difference in the type of wear.

From my albeit limited experience of driving a GTS I'd say it needs a bit more toe-in, and perhaps a tad more camber, than they come from the factory. Sounds like someone who owned your car may have felt the same. Personally if it feels good I'd live with the extra cost, but then I like pointy cars and don't mind the tyre wear. On a daily it's probably not worth it though.

Nikos,
Thanks for the praise mate, yes my car control is a thing of legend and I can wear my tyres out faster if I wish, but general driving you should try for 25K..!!:boss:

Robert..i was killing the p zero rossos' at the saab (335hp) and at the Audi (350hp) at maximum 30k kms. I believe that if you want to have a secure driving in the 4200 you should replace at least the rears every 15k kms.

Tyres are much more important than brakes or handling. Tyres is an upgrade itself.

With my tracking spot on I got well over 10k miles out if my last set of Falken 452s. I am hoping to get at least that from the Goodyear F1s I now have on despite lots of hard use. The fronts were only half worn but I binned them anyway.
