Poor paint repair on the rear 1/4 if it's the same one I looked at in Slough.

Sounds right, just tatty, unloved and clearly lots of people had been fiddling with it to try and fix stuff without success. It was also low on oil and yet claims of servicing were made.

The thing I find hardest to comprehend is why someone who must have had some passion to by the car (given the paint and mark choice) would wait almost three years and over 20k miles to get its FIRST service!

I dread to think what else was scrimped on.

Given its tech interior and wild trim, spartan history, general poor condition and poor paint repairs I think you were very generous with the valuation...I would put it at sub £20k. But then I guess some poor mug will buy it nkt knowing all the facts.

If that was £35k a brighter blue and 10k miles less I would have serious considered swapping my 4200 out for that. Not sure if the all Avorio dash is a bit too much.

I don't want much though!

I agree - if this was med blue I think I'd sell my GTS and buy this instead. I think the interior is gorgeous...

Normally one buys a car like these based on history and condition etc but I reckon GranSports are selling according to their colour! This one has classic Maserati colour and trim, but isn't it Med blue that fetches the big premium. If this car is worth near £38k why wasn't Mr Grace's Luna car, although not total LE spec, not snapped up the day it was advertised for some £8k less?

PS Pretty sure Med Blue is the same shade as my wife's old 2006 Punto.

You'd have been too slow this time, I put it in the other thread as well,
It's not worth more than the one Marious bought with half the mileage....
Nettuno is okay, just got to prep it and photo right otherwise looks a dirty blue...

Would that be your sweet spot by any chance then?

Must be one of the last GS's. They will be GS's with lower miles out there hiding I'm sure that won't come out of these woodwork for a few years yet.

Not far off, but I think the Holy Grail will be an easier find, so 2010/11 Cayman S perhaps.

Yes it is rather roo light in there... a second hand dash rop in black with a matching rear shelf would make a world of non reflective difference.

I think I would agree there. When your knocking on 35k for a GS the value isn't there anymore at that level for today/now. They may appreciate over time but at maybe at 45-50% residual value of its new price after 9-10 years it is not so much of a bargain.

Imho all the blues look great - but Med. is my least favourite. Almost identical colour to a Ford Probe someone I worked with had. No one liked him - nor the car for that matter! Sebring, Nettuno or Azzurro for me :)

Nettuno looks much better in the flesh & sunlight than it often pictures. My QP looks pretty good I think & seems to picture brighter for some than the 4200/GS hybrid did for some reason.

Not sure there is a bad blue on a Maser is there?

There seems to be a clear message - the GS is very sought-after and rising in value. I dont think any connection with residual value has any bearing any more, the car has climbed out of the depreciation trough.

Lovely in that blue. And with the grey wheels, visually its pretty close to the MC-V in Blu Victory. At a price that all current GS owners will be pleased to see.

On a related topic, I hear that Dicky has agreed the sale of the MC-V he had in last week. So that didn't hang around for long!
