Identifying my 3200 exhaust

It is very loud, you don't get the true sound by revving it, you need the engine under load to really judge.
I find it very addictive

Larinis are expensive - this mod is very reasonable by comparison

This sounds promising... So that I understand this is a straight pipe replacement for the cats and silencer whilst maintaining the back boxes.

I found this online and is pretty much the sound I'm after. Not sure if it has one or both of the above removed?

Does sound similar to mine, but it is hard to tell on a phone or even a PC. Contigo who posts on here has a drive past from his 3200 with straight throughs, being manual you get a different sort of sound (same volume) than you do with an auto.
Best thing to do is come along to the next Ace meet and listen to a few

I think the Auto car has a better sound than the manual we had. It's close though.

Here is the drive by from the manual.

I've got an idea
Remove manifolds, invert and poke pipe right through the bonnet vents.
Not very PC - but would be loud

Something like this

Think I will go down the route of removing the mid section silencer for straight and seeing how that sounds. Been trying to find some vids of this but no luck... Concerned this won't make much difference.

Here you go. Centre cat/silencer removed and replaced with straight section pipes.

No, I did try but the Larini race pipes just wouldn't go on (couldn't get the cats off the downpipe).

The centre section is a cat too.

I had the straight through Larini race pipes with the Larini centre section and the emissions were very close to being compliant so if you have a good relationship with your garage, it should not be an issue
