Welcome from a former Arizonan! Grew up in Scottsdale, now N of Seattle far from the furnace of the Valley of the Sun.
For your wheels, if you do get them painted, be mindful of the chamfered surface where the lug nuts seat against the wheel, there should be no paint on that seating surface when your wheels are ready to be mounted again.
While black wheels on a black car may be cliche, I love mine.
Enjoy your new toy!
