I'm in Lanark, ML11 postcode and 20 minutes from the M74 if you're using that as your route north? If not, I work in Edinburgh and could meet you on the east coast? A couple of us are meeting for breakfast on the 31st, just outside Glasgow if you are around?

I'm sure we can work something out. It all depends on whether I can get the discs before we head up there. I'll pm you and Greg before we leave to make arrangements, swap numbers etc.

I'm working on getting a very favourable courier rate for the UK that should suit most members and get the discs distributed quickly. I hope to know more later this week.

Brake pads turned up, just waiting for the discs, complete set bought from www.brakeparts.co.uk for £64 delivered, these are the medium performance compound and I run Mintex pads and discs on the Alfa GT and they are brilliant, easily surpass OEM Spec:

I've just spoken with brakeparts.co.uk and they're willing to offer a discount on these pads to our members. Anyone wishing to buy the pads should call 01706 666999 and speak to Steve or Sarah. You will then be able to buy front and rear pads for £56.57 including delivery (Scotland may be more and international will certainly be more).

I'm currently using these on my yellow GS and really rate them. A new set is going on with new discs for both cars.

Fitted EBC reds back in my 3200 days, down right dangerous, they dont work unless they are hot, so between roundabouts they go cold and you literally sh!t yourself when you press the brake and sail straight across the roundabout. I do believe they have since changed the compound but my confidence is done with EBC

Fitted Green and they worked well, but I am a Mintex or Ferrodo bod now.

Yes, the early EBC Red weren't the best but the new compound has a good reputation and excellent reviews.
Each to their own though, pads are such a personal choice and there are so many out there to pick through

I had red stuff fitted to my 3200 years ago. They were an accident waiting to happen - absolutely rubbish from cold and not much better when hot. I understand that the compounds are now completely different, though. I was all for trying some yellow stuff with the new discs, but the price makes them almost as expensive as the discs! I cannot see how they are more than 3 times better than the Mintex, as that's the price difference. I'm really impressed with the Mintex pads after throwing them on the GS as a stop-gap after Modena.

I've a set of yellows waiting to go on when the discs arrive so will let people know how I get on with them............still, as mark says, I doubt they will be 3 x better than the M alternative, but have paid for them so like the good scot I am, I will use them! :(

I have red on mine, pedal is rock hard and click. Discs are not too bad but I cannot wait to get them off, sometimes the fade is dangerous. Avoid like the plague!
