We may be up for this till around 2pm in the GTS just need to know when we arrive where to go not been before. Can you tell me where we park.

Karen

Hi Karen.

Presume you would like to be included in this new scheme?? Sounds as if you will have a passenger so it would halve the entry fee.
Leaving earlier shouldn't be a problem and I'll post parking arrangements, passes etc. when known.

By the way is it a Masser GTS or Alfa 147 GTS?

Yes please me and other half - its a Masser GTS - unless for some reason we have to use the Alfa Spider

That's sorted then...Liz working me and the boys will pop along.

Glad you can make it Andy. :) Hope you and your lads have a super day.

We're getting an interesting selection of cars, both Alfa amd Maserati.

I assume you're bringing the Brera.

Wouldn't think so as the engine is in pieces....they are putting it back together as I type but will be selling her as I have no need for it. It bought it as a project to do up but lost interest in it.

Sorry to interrupt again. Errrrr ..... Jus' 'bin thinkin' ... Ow me 'ed! Screens nurse! Crash team! Quick Quick Quick!

We have a shortfall of 3 vehicles - with less'un 3 days to the organisers extended deadline.

The list is apparently complete? - I still hope not.

As avid followers of this thread will know, our members have volunteered seven bella Italian cars, as follows:-

LISKNIK Alfa 33 1.7
MASER WALES Maserati 4200 CC
ALFA MUPPET Alfa 164 Q4
LUCKESGTV6 Alfa 916 GTV 3.0
ALFATAN Alfa 939 Spider (or Alfa159)
KAZZER Maserati GTS (or Alfa Spider)
ANDYG Maserati Quattroporte Executive GT

Thanks again guys but please let me know right now if you are unable to attend.
Oh thanks LUCKESGTV6, you'll be there then!

Methinks it a great pity if this fine selection of cars were not to be featured properly at the event.
But I'm like Christopher Robins' friend 'a bear of little brain' so I could think of only 2 solutions:

Solution 1.
If you 7 members above are prepared to subscribe the £5 per person that you would have to pay at the gate as a punter, then we can still do it!
My contribution is to do that and also make good any shortfall in the charge for display space when I submit our final list to the organisers.
(done me sumz, I just won't enter the Autoslalom this year - no one loses er, except me, I lose mega embarrassment!)
You will each get a free gate pass covering all of your car occupants. You my friends - lose nothing, Naarthinnngg, NAAA.. etc.
Commercially I have to pay upfront on this deal but will trust y'all to play it straight and reimburse me, @ £5 per head in car, to receive your gate passes.
If we get a tsunami of response then anything received over and above the organisers charge will pass on to benefit the charity.
I need to know your thoughts friends, if not it's gotta be Solution 2.

Solution 2.
Stuff it!! (your car into the public car park - what else were you thinking for goodness sake?)

(nag!)
Don't forget everyone that there's still that golden opportunity for you to be there.
( I've run out of nag time. endof)

"Any more up for it?" - He challenged the reader with a piercing stare. "Any more??"

:swing: :swing: Why do I care anyway? Hmmm, strangely, I do care -
but personally I'm 'sorted and goody-good, yes, I'm aw'right Jack.
Looking forward to an exciting action-packed day Sat'day week.
I'm expecting my gatepass tomorrow or Friday, via other sources,
The camera batteries are fully charged, lenses cleaned, the SD cards empty.
Autoslalom bait is in cold storage with my lightly buttered cucumber and watercress sandwiches.
Thermos ready to be charged with the finest Tieguanyin Oolong tea.
Change in my pocket for elevenses in the Paddock Restaurant wi' me host o' groupies.
Ontrack passenger ride? Dodge that by forgettin' me wollitt. Ha ha! Faaaaaaar too scary for a senile old f^rt!

Peter i will go halfs on the shortfall with your sir, and keep your chin up your doing a Stirling job. I never filled the 10 places for retrorides till on the day, still had two spaces free with one day to go, and one left that got filled on the day. Week before I thought I only ha six will half of them spending the first half of the day in the paddock and not on the show stand ;)

If I couldn't afford the £5.00 per head to get in, there's no way I could afford the 100 mile run down from Birmingham in a Maserati, so not an issue for me.

Hi Nick,
Your moral support is very much appreciated as is your kind offer. :)
I'm still hopeful that there will be more wanting to come onboard for the event but I am obliged to give firm figures to the organisers this weekend.
Look forward to having a chat with you a week on Saturday in the afternoon.

Hi ANDYG,

Glad you're coming along and I hope that you have a good journey down to the circuit in your beautful Maserati.
You're probably the one travelling the furthest to attend and I hope that you have an enjoyable day at the circuit.
Looking forward to meeting you.

:) That will be good but just chill and enjoy a steady run to the track. There's no arrival deadline to meet.

FYI I've confirmed 10 entries to the organisers and am trying to arrange for our guys to pick up their paddock passes at the gate,
otherwise it gets a bit messy logistically and security wise. - NOTE to all - this is not confirmed yet.

Hey, Don't forget to bring the camera.
I guess the unfortunate souls who decide not to come will be utterly gutted for missing out when they see the piccies!
I'm also hoping the organisers will allow me to take onboard footage - that remains to be seen, and the bad languge onboard would have to be edited out.
I just don't think they will approve of the Blue Tak I use on trackdays 'cos of H&S issues an' Public Liability n' stuff but I don't want to wreck the redline facia to conform!
I tried to make a bracket to hang it from the sunvisor mounts but then I couldn't see where I was going (rather like the rear view from the GTV but at the front. Much better than taxying a Spitfire a friend told me. ... so things could be wusser).

For your information.

Today, yes on a Sunday, the organisers have suggested that if anyone (or their children) is interested in passenger rides in the drift cars then it's best to arrive early and register at the control centre 'cos last year they were oversubscribed early in the day (and probably ran out of tyres later?)

In case you still believe the weather forecasters :lol2: then (quote) 'there may be fleeting showers and the temperature may be 13 degrees C' (unquote), I'm just passing the info on, italics mine!

The organisers have promised that the 10 Paddock Passes and lists of the clubs displaying their cars and also the cars available for track rides will be available soon and I will post here as soon as received. :)

:swing: ciao!

Long time ago I told some friends at Bath MC that if I was around for the day they could have my 3200 on their stand so I will be attending event but regretably my cars allocated - hopefully stands are close and I could straddle the line otherwise I would be more than happy to contribute a £5 to the Sports Maserati/Alfa stand.
