Bit of an ooops moment this morning when trying to load the Central pole for the net in the council yard. They were having it tarmaced so it was going to be a manual lift from beside their container. Seemed easier to lump it over the fence so set about it while another repositioned the waggon. 150kg of steel pipe on my shoulder I lost my footing and fell! It crashed down on the back off my skull and neck! Seriously worrying moments..., All seems ok and I got on with the day whilst I could still move!

Got it reinstated anyway, now sat in A&E for a long wait to get it checked out just to be sure. I know I will be achey in the morning....

Please stay safe and ask for help for big stuff.

Many years ago I was doing some setting out after the site had finished for the day. There was a piece of 20ft x 10ft reinforcement grid lent against the side of the trench which was in my way. I tried to move it by myself but it was too heavy and fell on me, fortunately it hit my hard hat, breaking it and knocking me out of the way as it fell. Sometimes we need to do stupid things to learn how not to do it.

Fingers crossed you’ve not done anything nasty.

Chuck another quid in, mate. Happy birthday!

Morning, all. London today. Today's the first day in a while of getting up in the dark. It's not to be recommended.

Have a good Tuesday, all.

Morning all. Effectively the first day back in the office as yesterday we met the builders of our new house. Bad news is that we won't be in before September/October.

Then I came into the office and Microsoft products all had an update which needed doing so that was the day written off.

Office today with lots to do. Have a good one all.

I’ve taken to my bed! I ache too much!

Good news however is Jeanette has just bought a new car! Furthermore it is Italian and well spec’d! The lease is up on the Mito at the end of the month and it was as cheap to buy as to lease through work so she has gone for a Gulietta Speciale!

Great news on the car, bad news on the aching you. So, well done on the first and get well soon on the second.
