Cheers for heads up Dicky - good to know - Dintrol is an alternative to waxoyl I believe? Been thinking of getting the GS and Westie done with that - car won't be garaged as I've got no space so will have a think on....

yes, waxoyl is absolutely ****! Dintrol is much better, more expensive but a far superior product.

Not entirely sure thats a fact.................................Db.....merely preventing moisture and oxygen getting to a superficially rusty or non-rusty piece of metal will halt further decline almost indefinitely........

ok fair point and I don't want to enter into a lawsuit :)

I'm just passing on my personal experience which can be taken or left. I have found waxoyl to crack, fall off and not kill old rust and prevent its spread as it claims. I have found Dinitrol products on the other hand, to be far superior and several independent tests have found that the most well known product on the market is not necessarily the best. Perhaps I was a little rash in saying it was **** and for sure is better than nothing, it did seem to protect bare metal fairly well but its performance on surface rusted areas was not great. Personally I would not use it again but that's just my opinion and not the legal view etc etc

Am I forgiven? :)

hmm..

seemingly so- not a GT though, so earlier rear suspension arrangement and classic dummy fuel filler.

Unusually though the fuel line to the rail pressure regulator comes from the nearside in the underbonnet shot; not sure I've seen that before!

One of those things I suppose- wouldn't put me off; a lovely colour!

One of only two or three I've ever seen with the aftermarket aerial position in the rear quarter...

Can't see the dummy filler cap on the left, I've tried saving the pic then zooming in, still can't see one so I'd say it is a GT. GT was introduced in Europe in 1995 and UK in 1996 so the year is about right (although if I am being blind and there is a dummy filler cap on the left it is possible that it could be an earlier car but registered in 1996 so I'm open to correction!).

You're right Grigio Vulcano is a lovely colour, only seen one other UK GT in this colour and one Cup.

Aerial position is interesting as you say. I've only seen a few with the aerial mounted there and all of those have had an electric retractable one rather than the fixed one this car has. I've also seen one car that had both a the normal type roof aerial and one mounted on the rear wing, maybe it had two radios!

Thanks fellas - its got GT wheels I think, and Meridian Modena seem to think its a GT... Hmmmm!
