Used Larini Maserati 4200 rear boxes - pair - non valved.

I bought these some time ago as used items for my Maserati 2002 4200 - but never got around to fitting them. They have languished in my garage ever since. They have couple of small dents and marks presumably from the dreaded speed humps - but are stainless and these will not be seen underneath the car. These are the non valve type. I would like £850 for the pair. Thanks Mike. Message me if interested.

Mikey, don't want to be a downer, but those boxes are often given away free...

<Ignore me, I thought these were standard!>

The non-valved Tubi's are fine for normal driving & perfect for when opening it up!

You could probably have the valves retro fitted, Benny could find out for you.

Valves make a night and day difference on my GS modded boxes (again, by Benny)

Judging by MAFs rear boxes, the valves make little or no difference.
Larini or modified gs boxes?

I dont have secondary cats which in conjunction with the larini xpipe makes it louder than standard. Without valves I wont be able to control the volume when I'm driving past Mr Policeman or the school mums when I pick up my kids. Whilst I want a bit more volume, I want to be able to switch it off when I dont want any attention.

Valves can be fitted to the Larini's, Alvin in Melbourne was having this done by ART, because standard was horrendously loud with his modified front and centre pipes.
At this stage ( first week )
I can't hear a difference with my valved rears, so much so I rang the installers to ask if they had reconnected the vacuum hoses to the valves.

Can you confirm this please!
I would add valves to my Larini's over this winter if it's just the case of adding them to the inner outlets.....thought they might be different inside the box too...

Alvin has the Art x pipe and front pipe - didn't have Larini back boxes last time I spoke to him - Alvin please confirm

Mine's a little quieter with the valves closed, but not much. Bear in mind the valves only make a difference below 3,000rpm as they open up automatically after this. My main issue is that the actuators rattle and buzz really badly with the valves closed - the boxes have been back to Larini and had new actuators fitted but this made little difference. I also hate the slow, lazy gear change when not in sport mode, so my car is always in sport mode regardless. I'd love to be able to separate controls for suspension, gear change and exhaust valves as my ideal would be everything in sport aside from the harsh suspension on 'normal' roads. Having said that, a week with the GTR may make me think that the GS suspension is like a Rolls Royce!!

That's a good point Mark about independent control. I too would much prefer to have more say over the suspension settings on the GTS when in sport mode, particularly on the rough, rural roads around here

At one stage Formula Dynamics were looking into offering a switch box to enable independent control of suspension, gearchange, and exhaust.

These are still available,
Had an email form the OP,
Would these go straight onto my 2006 4200, Will they be really loud!!
I am guessing that normal boxes aren't valved anyway!
