Pick any two out of three. He already has the cats, and you can clearly here the higher pitch of the cats + unsilenced x-pipe

Well I have had a few comments since the exhaust mods that the car is pretty loud outside.....including a local copper who gave me a brief tug the other week. Seems perfect to me inside ;) Not sure if I've gone too outside far but I'm happy!

Is there a DB limit on the road the car has to stay within?

They are meant to be checking or at least a few years ago the law changed but who cares? My only concern is missing trackdays now :(

I don't think going under Potters Bar bridge by the station in 1st 60 seconds earlier helped! He must have heard it & made up his mind at that point I guess.

found the quote below from the Wales police force who had a crack down on boy racers. Corsa's with bake bean tins as an exhaust type.

“The legal level is 82 decibels, but in line with other forces we are using 90 decibels as the limit to take account for the effects of any wear and tear,” said PC Edwards, who has also come across cars registering levels of 104db, 103db and 96db."

The full on legal test is done at an open area on a specific test surface so there is little or no background noise and then you drive past a microphone at 4500 rpm. I'm assuming its a lower rpm for a diesel car.

The strange thing is that its classed as anti social behavior. So does that mean they issue you with an ASBO rather than a fixed penalty or points.

82 Dbs or even 90 Dbs seems low, trackdays tend to be 95 Db and I suspect my Q4 won't pass that. It has pass 105Db trackdays but that was really a race practise session with most cars being out and out racers.

Never checked the Spyder

Not sure my rear end is that attractive! The Masers ain't too bad though.

Just have to I don't over do it when the fuzz is around I guess. Genuine people/bystanders seem to like it and so do I. As long as the people that appreciate these cars and the sound of them like it then surely it is a good thing ;)

If it would help I have a spare pair of standard boxen so your car is not off the road for extended periods. I could also ask around for welders. Was it Martyn that posted all the diagrams?

iirc Martyn And Maverick. But I may not rc.
