Let me get this straight Cats > X-pipe > straight through pipe?
The rear boxes have hangers on them. If you delete the rear boxes you delete the hangers. The replacement rear pipes would need hangers would they not?You don't need hangers, mine hangs free from the centre section all the way to the back.
Oh and note that the standard pipes go from 3.25 to about 3 Inch at rears so the problem we had us that stainless has a wider diameter than the stick pipes. Routing the metalwork over the rear subframe was difficult because it ran so close to the Cv boots and handbrake cables so a decision was made to run under the subframe instead.

I like that and the sound!!!
I would be interested in getting the same done on mine - I am not too far away in Surrey, just off M25
Think I'll do standard cats x pipe and straight through pipes keeping original boxes in garage

Home made straight through rear boxes
That's what Spartacus has, and what I'm getting after having heard his.
Maverick is providing my back boxes as he *also* gutted his secondary cats (correct me if I'm wrong, Mav) which then made it *very* loud indeed with many pops and bangs on the overrun.

Link to x-pipe? I'll be making enquires to my local exhaust fabricator, any drone??
