Nice to see the usual suspects and some new ones at yesterdays event.
Thanks for organising Benny.

I did manage to get a few quick snaps of the line up.

I spotted three tridents that were not in our group. The custom blue GT in the display area. The red facelift 4200 opposite where we were parked and the red / copper colour GT parked in the staff carpark near the swings.

Stuart nice to meet you briefly at the gate.

I will hopefully organise a meal out for the northern contingent at some point over the summer if there is enough interest.

I seem to have picked up an odd noise from the power steering on the way back. Hopefully its just low on fluid and not a leak or something more serious. Will have a look tomorrow. It may have appeared on the way into oulton but it would be difficult to hear anything over the noise of Bennys exhaust :)

Thanks for the pictures - I think you do yourself a disservice calling them "snaps"!

The owner of the red facelift 4200 came across and said hello. He`d been shunted into that area because he had got caught up in the traffic and there was no space where we were due to all those blinking Ferraris taking up places!

Likewise, good to meet you and I thought we would chat more once we landed but alas not! That would be great if another local event was organized soon, and if your steering turns out to be the steering pump motor I have one so just give me a shout (but hopefully just needs topping up).
Yes, the pictures are great and I wished I had taken some when we were all there.
I went over to the couple with the red face-lift and had a chat, very nice couple from Blackpool, he told me his name and forum name but I forgot them!

Benny.......I had a good look at your rear lights in the daylight rather than in your garage, what a fantastic job you did on them, I couldn't see any evidence (your still a 4200 philistine though);)

Turns out after a closer look at my car that the power steering radiator has sprung a leak. Its sitting in autoshield so Marios can fit a new one tomorrow. Hopefully back with me tomorrow.

Those things are really expensive from Maserati. c£1200 IIRC for a bent pipe with fins. I hope he's sourced an alternative.

Yeah, the LHD ones are a lot cheaper, but I note that ES are not showing them....

I think Marios has had some made to a better standard to the originals. He showed me one they have in stock.

I really don't see the need for a power steering radiator.
It is not as though you are going from lock to lock on a rally stage!

I doubt there would be any noticeable difference if it was just a long metal U shaped tube. The heatsink fins are not very big. By the time the fins are full of road grime and dead bugs they are not really doing that much.

I actually got a race adapted one (supply & fitted) for £250 from GT cars and it is great. I got it that price cause they messed up with the diagnosis twice (hence having a spare power steering motor)!!.........It was a peace offering for f**king up I think but a lot better that £1200 supply only!!

Marios has sorted it for a fair price and a lot cheaper than the £1200 ish that eurospares want for just the part.

Great service as usual from Autoshield. They managed to fit the car in for me at short notice and turned it round in 24hrs.

If anyone else has the same problem then speak to Marios / Autoshield as he has a cost effective solution.
