Hi Rob I am aware of that and in no way am I having a dig at Adam just trying to state why one (not me) may be slightly surprised at his change of plan.

Who knows...perhaps it was a project and now i am bored.
After owning a spyder and seeing the GS and its writeups its IMHO a better prospect for me.
We all have to dip our toes in somewhere and the spyder seemed the safest bet, as it was the best of both worlds but on reflection i think that the GS is what i am after based on my budget.
If i had never owned a spyder i would have always wondered....
I paid £20,200 for the car and what was returned/refunded to me has been spent and much much more.
so i have still got £22k+ tied up in the car as refund or not it was still my money,he never took it out of his own pocket.

Well it could do with the drivers seat entry point touched a little and the silver trim on the 2 side vents is comming off and a couple of small stone chips have appeared on the bumper.
Its strange that i could not find a 2003/4 car with glass rear screen advertised for less than £24k when looking a short while ago but i guess your probably right,I really overpayed in the first place and lost loads of money in sorting the car...sounds about right for me.
Maybe its better i just sell up and stop losing money on high end cars.
Lost a fair bit on the mercedes and even more on this one so there is a loud indication of a prevailing trend there if i care to really see it.
Thankyou all for all the assistance you have offered and all the support in the past.I am more than grateful.
Your a good bunch of owners and enthusiasts and i wish you all the very best in everything and anything you do.

Adam , dont put yourself down mate , you are to be commended , for being so finicky , for a brief while you have a truly sorted car , as you have found out , its been an expensive learning curve , 2nd time round with \maserati you are more than fore-warned and fore-armed, and have the backing of this forum , so dont throw all that newly aquired knowledge away , utilize it , to enhance your next Maserati experience , you will be impressed with the GS , just ask anyone on here to be part of your buying experience if you need re-assurance or advice

regards loz

Adam, you have def learned more about these cars in the last few months than most people learn in a number of years..Take that away with you and the GS you buy next will be the dogs dangly bits. I also look forward to seeing the next car....

Adam, fully agree with Loz too. Everything you've experienced will mean you now have the knowledge to ensure your next one's spot on. I had a shocker with my first Maserati (3200) five years ago. It should've put me off for life but I learned loads and it's all stood me in good stead for future purchases. Now on my second GS and had a lovely QP too and felt more confident when buying since my first near disaster. Stick at it, you'll get there!

If you do wish to sell it'll have to be attractive on price, and if you do, my GS is for sale and is 100%. - http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1702869.htm

Not sure anyone is gonna want the spyder mate,Ive dropped the price by another 1k and will take OIRO £21k as its a 2004 model and has to be worth that with the work done on it and the added extras like sports exhaust ,new tyres and Tax and MOT and Private place S21YDR carbon GS steering wheel etc but truth is if its not going to get at least that then its not going to be sold.
I honestly never intended to sell it so soon but i keep seeing the GS and i think its got the looks and the internal design i want and this is what the Spyder does not have. The 4200 internals tend to look a little bit aged for the car.Carrs maserati say this is normal but i like my Living spaces to be very very clean and crisp.I love the spyder to bits externally but the poor level of finishing on the interior really puts me off.The seats are not even real leather all over and the silvered bits are prone to peeling.what is real leather is a bit Ingrained and i am told this is a feature of the car.Its a real shame and i could go the route of complete new internals and a GS bodykit but again thats just cosmetic and it will not handle and perform like a GS and when i do come to sell...will i get my money for it...unlikely.

Adam, 21k is a good price and you should start to get a bite on it but remember that these cars do not fly out of showrooms and it may take a little time. You may be lucky as it's summer and bloody hot but they are just the sort of cars that take a while to sell....You could also do a lot worse than Richards car above...It's a good one.

Why Mr P, thats an absolutly terrible thing to sugest!!! ......Love it!!
He sent a follow up to contact him if i changed my mind....Yeh course i will ! NOT!
I wonder why they think that people with these cars are absolutly desperate for cash?...Very Odd indeed.
You think if i advertised it for £16k it would hang around for very long? LOL

Nope , people would think there was something wrong with it , no rhyme or reason as to how long these cars take to sell , some sell quick and some take an age , worst of all the red ones seem to take an age to sell , cant understand why i love the colour to bits

Unfortunatley G........lots of the public are just what your handle states......too trusting cos its on the box....etc.......it should come with a health warning......!

Along the lines of this.........."Believing this advert can seriously damage your back passage"........;)....;)
