No problem P/X1ons if emtee is OK with that.

I'm happy to lend them out to anyone on here. Please let me know before you pass them on to another member as I don't want to lose track of where they are for when I need them myself!
X1ons just PM me when you are done with them.

Cheers

Sorry Guys, Been off-grid for a couple of days, so playing catch-up.

Hi Parisien, on the understanding that Dave is happy for me to send them on, please just PM me your delivery address.

Dave, Thanks again for the loan. I'll PM you for good order once they're on their way to Parisien.

Regarding Classics and Chrome, you can't go far wrong at £3.50 a pop, however in hindsight I wish I'd de-burred mine before handing them over so that they only needed finishing on a belt sander or sanding brush. They did a fine job, and only did what they said they would do beforehand, but putting them on the grinder took a little more than I expected off. They're still fine in a 22mm, but a little looser than previous.

It's a bit of a ball-ache to clean down 20 bolts, but probably worth it in my opinion, or if you can't be bothered, make a point of saying to keep the cleaning down to the absolute minimum.

All in all I'm very happy and you live and learn. Hopefully with a bit of DIY prep' beforehand you'll get even better results.

Cheers, Emtee.

Hi Parisien, No problem. I can post to X1ons in the meantime.

Finish is absolutely spot on, no complaints at all. Just me being a bit of a perfectionist with the benefit of hindsight. The bolts had been on air wrenches numerous times and so the faces were 'burred' on each edge. Not taking them off would have left the chrome more susceptible to damage, and so on their recommendation I asked them to remove them. They just took of a little more than I'd expected, but we're talking thou's here. I'd be happy to recommend them and their price is good, but if you're not sure, then definitely have a look at N and M Plating.

Hi X1ons, PM me your delivery address?

Cheers, Emtee.

Boys, where are we on these.....as above turnaround period? X1ons, can I assume your bolts don't need any additional work to ensure a good finish?

Hi mate

received them end of last week, changing them over tomorrow so posting them Monday. I'll try to push them for a quick turn around as mine just need standard treatment. Is that ok mate??

Daft question perhaps, but why does the car not have a wrench for removing the wheel nuts??? I assumed it was in the tool kit - evidently it's not!!! So I'm off to borrow one, I hope!!

Me thinks you'll find that the multi-millionaire types who first buy Massers......aint that keen to get the ol' mits dirty.......aahheeemmm.....;)....hence they call out their "man", or the rescue services to get down and dirty.......................

OR...........

Its cos the car doesn't come with a spare.......!!!!!

No need to carry one really................................:)

So the bolts are changed over and they have been sent off to a nice man who has promised to send them back all shiney! Hopefully in 1-2 weeks.

How have people put their bolts back on? I heard one place say electricians tape on each bolt??

I'm getting my wheels refurbed (specialist wheels place) so think I'll get that done and then ask them to put the new bolts on at same time. Going to look special!

Servicing and MOT first - let's just hope for no major issues!!

Good stuff X1ons, can you let me know when you get them back, and rather than post the bolts to me, send yours directly to the platers and I can refund your postage and then pay them directly, save a week plus in the post?

Am assuming all this is ok with Dave!

Cheers,

Morning all - just to let you know I've received the wheel bolts back from Classics and Chrome - they look superb.

I also negotiated a deal with the owner for this forum (hope that's ok?!). Basically instead of £3.50 per bolt he's agreed to £3.00 per bolt. Basically saves you £10. Just quote the forum name and perhaps mine - Mark.

Parisien - I'm getting my wheels refurbed on Wednesday - getting them to put the bolts on there and then. Think I need to ask them to put them on with electricians tape so not to damage the chrome? Would you like yours/Daves sent straight back to Classics and Chrome?

I need some centre badges for the wheels - I asked the scrappage guy last week but not heard back from hi
. Do Eurospares sell them and how much are they?

Cheers
