If anyone donates £500 Matt promises to have his photo taken of Benny rubbing cycling cream on his sore bits and posting it on the forum. Poor Benny thinks all he has to do is drive a car. He has no idea what he will be expected of him

Absolutely! I'm not rubbing cream on Urby whether he is wearing trunks or a swimsuit. However, if she is coming along for the ride, I'm on standby for cream rubbing duties! ;)

Well this is my observation of the situation. You are certainly not the guy in the picture and me and Matt are certainly not the girl so a bit of improvisation is needed. The sore bits need attending to and you are all we have :jptongue:

Sharing a cabin with Matt whilst crossing the Channel?????? Really cannot imagine what you two lovebirds will get up to.

Here's (yet) another instance of SportsMaserati doing more than the factory:

Maserati Paris-Modena Charity Cycle Tour

You guys have ALREADY raised more (err.. a LOT more) for charity than this factory organised and supported event, with 25 cycling participants, and 7 Ghibli/QP support cars, plus other FCA group vehicles (Fiat vans, I imagine). They raised a whopping £8800, which probably about covered the fuel and hotel costs for half the support crew. Was it really about raising money for charity? Sadly not - it's clearly a publicity exercise, otherwise they would have raised a great deal more than 12k euros / ~500euros per participant... Those figures are from the Maserati's own press release, so I can only assume they are accurate.

Put it another way - our Goodwood trip last weekend cost more than that...

Some sad news, Urbys dads recovery is becoming and long and drawn our affair so its with great sadness, Urby has to pull out of this event. Drew has stepped in to fill his shoes and we all leave as planned.

Urby will cycle the UK leg from London to Portsmouth with me, we then meet up with Drew and Benny in the support car.

Urby has expressed a wish to maybe join us for the final day as we reach our destination.

Many thanks to Drew for jumping in at such short notice and I am sure you will all join me in wishing Urby's Dad all the best in his recovery.

Further to the above, I'd just like to pass on my great appreciation for the work Urby put into preparing the route and making the arrangements, and to Drew for stepping into this challenge at such short notice. You are both stars. Btw, the challenge isn't the cycle ride, it's putting up with Matt for 2 weeks! ;)
