Dem, same here although I have lost weight due to an active job but most of the weight loss has come from loosing muscle so it’s a bit of kick in the knackers. I too am struggling for motivation to go to boxing, being 50 and being worn out at the end of the day.

Think I need to get back on the bike and build from there.

What you weight is not important compared to the muscle tone.

Agreed about the weight. Yesterday I was 85.1kg, this morning I'm 83.3kg. When I started all this in September last year I was 84kg.

So if it was all about the weight, no progress has been made whatsoever! But the reality of course is that my t-shirts are now tight around my arms and no longer tight around my belly.

I feel better, and it's having a positive impact on my professional performance, as much as it's making me fitter.

My motivation was to have a clearer mind and perform at the highest level possible at work, looking awesome with my shirt off is a nice byproduct ;)

Started the year at 15St 7lbs and set off at the beginning of February with 3 goals

  1. Lose a stone
  2. Get under 200lbs
  3. Hit 13St 7lb by Le Mans
This morning happy that goals 1 & 2 have been achieved, even happier as this achievement isn't linked to cutting out alcohol.

I have gone for a more level plan, reduce alcohol, control food intake and exercise more and happy that this is driving a slow but concistent movement in the right direction.

Now to head for the last goal, helpful that Le Mans has been moved out, I will still try to hit the June date especially as the weather improves I can get out on my bike more.

Progress has been slow and steady but today's check 13St 7lb and tomorrow is Le Mans (albeit late) - that's all 3 2021 goals achieved

Where are we now, September 2021... Everyone still keeping pace?

I am starting my second year training with my PT

I have remained consistent with training and diet. In terms of Weight Loss - it ain't happening! I am about 0.5-1kg heavier than my last check on and in and it's all pure lean muscle. I have had to buy a new wardrobe as my old cloths were all too big but I'm slowly bulking out now.

What can I describe a year of training like an athlete? I almost feel superhuman compared to my old self - before I used to hate going on hikes, bike rides or skiing with my friends - the guy at the back of the group wishing he was still at home.... Well now I'm the guy at the front forcing everyone to pick up the pace, but still sometimes wishing I was at home so I make them go faster hahaha!

But seriously I am a lot more confident in my physical ability, my balance has improved massively with stronger legs and core which has hugely reduced my fear of heights. Here is to the next 12 months of training :alan4::alan3:

Well this year was a good year for me 15St 7lbs at the start of the year now a consistent 13 St flat, only downside is the beer belly that has taken me years to cultivate has diminished siginificantly.

2022 will be more about maintenance and maybe a few more lbs before Le Mans
