Fuse is good, but I'll check the relay

C

If the fuse is good check if your getting power to the fuse. Fuse cant blow if the current doesnt flow :)

After you have removed the bolts holding the fuse box in place ( 4 i think) it looks like there are 2 plastic push tabs you need to release.

I have been looking through my 147 manuals but nothing suggests that the fusebox you were working on controls fuel etc.
Just one thought though. Could you have disturbed the fuel cut off inertia switch down in the front pillar area.

I'd agree. The fuel pump fuse is under the bonnet. Can you give me more ideas about the inertial switch. That seems entirely plausible

Yeah, not easy since it's under the bonnet and my probe is too large, phnarr.

Thanks all. Car now starts.

Turns out those really funky snap down multiplugs are not quite as idiot proof as they might appear.

@spkennyuk you're bob on I suspect about those tabs. There are three allen bolts. Two in the photo left and right. One that goes through the grey second layer of the box. It's not going to move anywhere though as it's butted behind the dashboard member.

New battery needs to be delivered before I can do much more on the boot issue, but I still suspect the relay that's hidden in the depths of the dash.

Glad to hear you're sorted with the starting.
While you were under there did you check fuse 60 for security. It's one of the bank of 4 located up above the fusebox. It feeds the bootlock.

All's weel hat ends well!

I'm glad we kept you amused. Now if you could just tell me where fuse bloody 60 is, that'd be great! :D

I have located what I think are them. They are behind the fuse box but below it rather than above. That's my mistake sorry. You can see a plastic cage if you stick your head on the floor and look up with a torch. The fuses are in that but I appear to only have 2. I have taken a photo but then my phone went flat. Will upload it in a few mins.
Funny thing is I'm sure when I ripped every fuse out of my car looking for a mysterious current leak it looked different then.
