Snap and great tariff. Just changed over recently and added the iPace last night for its first 7.5p charge. Makes a huge difference from the 30p ish rate before on the old supplier. Even on the lower mileage we do it makes a big difference. I play football once a week and it costs £7.50 to play and another £7.50 to get there in an E55K or the like. In the iPace it is about 70p @ 7.5p per Kwh.
So a full tank of juice giving about 220 miles is less than £7. For a 400bhp twin motor 4WD sub-5 second 0-60 car that is comfortable, well equipped and decent to drive also look at I think it has been a good move for us.
Wouldn't have wanted to have bought a new one at new prices though!
Taken nearly a week, but Audi have sorted out their servers and the Mrs car is now plugged into the matrix, with Octopus taking control of the charging.
First overnight charge successfully completed with 100% charge at 7.5p a kwh.
Okay only 10kwh being a hybrid (optimistically the audi app is saying 40 mile range, more like 30), but we only need to export 5kwh today via solar (easily acheived even over winter most days) with Octopus paying us 15p a kwh, and the 30 miles of driving is paid for.
That 30 miles using petrol would be easily £5, which adds up to approximately a £1,000 a year saving on the average yearly usage.
Would be more if a full EV.
I can really see the financial sense of hybrid/EV if you can make it work charging, for a daily driver only of course!
