Paul that's a great list

had similar ones myself
1974 Ford Cortina mk3 1600GT
1977 VX 490 - massive car, bit slow and heavy
1973 XJ6 4.2 - massive car, never did fill it up with petrol - twin tanks!
1983 Rover SD1 3500S - moonraker blue with Carlos Fandango wheels - loved that car, got written off by a brown Cortina
1980 BMW 735 - had a 150,000 on the clock when i sold it and still going.
1986 BMW M535 - Polaris silver - dog leg gear box
1993 Rover 820 Vitesse - 2.0litre turbo went like a train and ate head gaskets, cost more in repairs than it did to buy, caught light twice, I remember screaming at the wife down the phone to let it burn the second time but a do gooder passer by put it out!
1997 Ford Mondeo St24 - did 60,000 trouble free miles in that, although it liked a drink of oil, sold it for a £750 and new owner blew it up in a week!
2007 Mini Cooper D (3 months old bought for the wife so not mine)
1997 BMW 323 Convertible - still own that, could not sell it this year - no one wanted it

2001 MASERATI 3200GT

The years are the age of the cars - not when i bought them
In there somewhere amongst the early years should be a brown MkIV Cortina - I swapped the interior at the side of the A13 from a smashed up wreck, so it had blue velour seats, they would not fit in the car with my seats in, so I had to swap them over. Opel Kadett 1.3SR same as the Astra, great car handled really well. Renault 5 and a couple of Mk3 Escorts

Two bikes

GSXR600 K1 - went to big bike shop in sky when i got off it in a hurry
GSXR750 K3 - 600 was not big enough and promised my mum i would not buy another (600cc) bike

Would like - a driveway to get the current family collection of 5 cars and a motorbike onto the road without having to play musical cars

This is a great thread !!

1. Austin Metro 1981 - i can still remember the advertising campaing when the Metro was introduced (A British Car to take on the World!) errrrmm really? !
2. Triumph TR7 Coupe 1982 - I must be one of the few nutters that liked the styling. Much misunderstood car ! Designed for the American market first and foremost. Decent ride, comfortable tartan seats!, good heater and pop up lights yeah !
3. TR7 Convertible 1982 - more pleasing to the eye than the Coupe for most people. Even more unrealiable than my previous Coupe, but boy did i love that car! Oh and pop up lights!
4. Renault 11 Turbo - the ultimate "Q" car. Same engine as the Renault 5 Turbo! Always overheated and snapped 3 x clutch cables.
5 Siera XR4ri - this car stayed in my possesion for 4 days before it was nicked from my workplace carpark.
6 Nissan Silvia Turbo - more pop up lights !
7 Toyota Celica 16v - pop up lights ! can you see a theme developing here !
8 BMW 535 - boringly capable
9 BMW 525 - dito
10 BMW 328 Coupe Sport - i thought i was the dogs nuts in this m3 lookalike !
11 Jag XK8 Convertible 1999 - great car, well made, shame the roof did not retrack into the body. Looked like a silver cross pram with the hood down !
12 Jag XKR Coupe 2003 - one fast motor in a straight line - 400 bhp ish - looked really mean in black
13 Audi a8 3.0 tdi - the most capable, impressive but ultimately BORING car i have ever owned.

Not bad, 13 cars in 25 years. !!

Hi Dem

Yes lots of driveway space ( 10 cars possible and lucky to have a 50ft barn at the back which 1/3rd is a double garage.( We bought a Bungalow, you get more plot for your money ) My GT sits next to a Porsche Carerra S. Sadly not mine but a family member who does not have a garage, and only drives it once per week ! He had a brand new Boxter for 5 years and did the same with that ! What a waste. Sold it back to Porsche for the 911.

Regards
Paul
