spotted that last week, impeccable condition but £40k is a lot of money, 36k tops IMO for a Gransport. Spyder's will still fetch a high value though, 34k+ for most examples.

If you are looking for the best of what has to be a rare car there are those who will pay it

I'd agree with that sentiement, but IMO thats still a bit rich. Money no object, I'd love it and I'd wrap it up in cotton wool, but for a user, I think they'll have it for some time yet. IIRC, this has been for sale a couple of times this year at similar money.

Sorry, but that is just silly money....If it was a Victory then maybe but even then...Its still a 2007 car low miles or not....

That was up at the same place earlier in the year wasn't it?

If it's the same one it was bought by them from GP Edinburgh (5K Mark-up IIRC) and the mileage is incorrect (shown in the log-book) as the dial cluster was changed under warranty. Correct mileage is still low, but it's 12K IIRC.

It seems a lot but they might sell at that price....

Its low miles....i would not....35k seems the top for a GS

Hmm, I nearly went to see the GP Edinburgh one ... that's a helluva mark up if it is the same one.

I think the GP one had a grey interior, didnt it? 11k miles for £39k...or was there another one?

Yep, the London and/or upmarket garages always seem to mark up by 5-10% as compared to others.

As I've said many times, it's basic supply and demand theory.

If there were 50 low mileage GS's for sale, then the price would not be so high. But it is rare to see a GS with less than 20K miles done, ergo if somebody with money is set on having one of the best examples of this well-regarded Maserati model then they may well pay 2-3K over what is the 'correct' value (whatever that means).

Correct pat, everyone is prepered to pay a price to have the best one out there.....
Yours is like new so really its a bargain at the price you got it for.....

That's the thing ... when you see a tatty one against a well-kept one, you can see why the latter could be worth more.

With autotrader/pistonheads, all the cars look the same in the pics so we end up just comparing price and mileage.

I also think 40K is a lot to ask for a good 'un, but there are well off people out there and there are also collectors. So it could well sell at that price.

Certainly, there's no harm for the garage to have a punt at that price, they can always lower it if no luck.

My previous GS went for rather more than I thought it would. I can only assume it was because it was in great nick and the buyer liked the colour also.

40k for a GS thats not a Victory..and thats still seems too much...Or isn't a GS Spyder seems hard to swallow..but as you say good luck to them....
