That's the sort of exotica that you get paid to tour, if you're in the Armed Forces.
Going on operations is even called 'a tour'. For all intents and purposes, you are, practically, a tourist.
Except for the weapons, odd beach wear and sometimes having to kill locals.

And the boredom......
Sometimes punctuated by moments of terrifying excitement....

I did a four year Tour of Germany...loved it. Mid-twenties, middle of europe, middleweight bike, toured all over. Maybe you joined the wrong bit of the Armed Forces....

Bottom line, it’s not going to be called the Ukrainian (border) for much longer. And there is nothing we can do about that.

The UKranian President has suggested that them joining NATO is their best option.

Meanwhile we've sent Liz Truss...

They may change their minds....

Real headline here is Russian forces perform military training exercises in Russia.
If they're up against the border it's easy to say they were fired upon , saw something on TV last night showing russian tanks and guns on a train , filmed by the public , the reporters identified the location and direction of travel from landmarks , they were heading towards the border.

From which side of it? I'm sure it wouldn't be the first time that Russia had mistaken the exact location of a border.

Surprise surprise.....
The Russians in Belarus aren’t going home......because of unrest.....
On the furthest other border from Belarus...
In other news.
UK is moving another armoured battlegroup to Estonia. They were supposed to replace the incumbent battlegroup but are now joining with the extra armour being forwarded overland from the storage facilities in sennelager.
Baton down the hatches.
