Old pals Issigonis and Cooper meet up at Longbridge....
April 1961, the second Cooper prototype at the Goodwood Press launch with Mr&Mrs Cooper in attendance along with Bruce McClaren.... the car itself left Longbridge as a humble Austin Mini 850 (note the standard bonnet badge) and emerged from Cooper's workshop with disc brakes, the new 997cc engine with remote change gearbox and a one off mesh grille....
The same car on the same day with the Austin Mini badge inked out and a fake Austin Cooper badge drawn on the photo, the mesh grille has been replaced by the Austin version of the slatted grille, the Morris version is different with fewer, wider slats....
