Thanks everyone. I had a great time - which this little fella tried to ruin.

Q: How many SM members does it take to change a tyre?

A: All of them :)

Glad you made it home, chap!

Fairly sure that was me, actually. Although I *did* overtake an Evo :D

C

That may have been the evo that overtook me when i hashed up my line into the corner. I did see the side view and rear view of a few Gtr's several times as well but i expect most of us did on the straight.

I had it down better by the second session.

It's killing me, did you get 150 on the straight?

What a fantastic day. It was good to put some more names to faces, and thanks again to all who organised - Andy, Drew et al

I must admit that I was pleasantly surprised at how robust the GTS was throughout the day, and I finally cracked 150 (154mph) in the last session as the confidence grew. Bring on next year!

Car of the day:
1. Adrian's M4
2. Mark's yellow monster
3. Drew's QP

No 142 to 145. Then i got a bit squiggly slowing down for the last bend or queue as it became in my second stint. First stint after the break was chocka.

I wasn't carrying quite enough speed through off the bend at the top of the straight to hit 150. Mostly I was around the 140 mark.

My best was 155mph with a clear straight, so plenty of late braking room. Average was somewhere between 145 & 150 depending on traffic. Apparently the Yamaha bike managed over 180mph!!!

Best I could get out of Drew's was 142...Not to shabby that for such a big car....Always amazes me how well these handle and go around corners and Drew's felt much better this year on his new disc and pads...Thanks for giving me the opportunity mate.

I think you need to add your GTS an Miles GTS to that.....We had customers pre paying for rides in yours evern if it meant coming back hours later.....She did look amazing....(loving the trident on the roof)

Miles was a trooper....he spend a number of laps with no reverse and still carried on...Mind you reverse not needed on track...

No worries mate - on reviewing the footage of your laps, I'd say you were too fast into the chicane, meaning you were usually a bit out of shape and too slow out of the chicane to max out the long straight. It's certainly a lot better on the EBC YellowStuff pads, rather than the RedStuff it had in last year. Absolutely no vibration on the brakes, totally smooth on the way home, very pleased :)
