I happily would of but it was my first time going and IMO was poorly organised. I came with 2 other cars and it wasn't clear on what to do to any of us. From what I understood you had to que up to maybe get a lanyard but as soon you are finished for one stint you have to give it back and then que up again, a pretty poor system. Not saying I could do it better myself but there must be a better way. Was still a fantastic day out and will happily be back next year.

Did you not take any passengers? The whole point is to have paying passengers to raise money for charity mate, not treat it like a free track day...

Did you take any passenger out.....as this was about charity passenger rides not 10 mins going around and around for your own pleasure...

As an event organiser I will be making sure all Lanyards will be checked as the cars come out of the pits. This sort of behaviour is what we will be clamping down on.

+Jonathan Rigby The Lanyards are distributed by the gate manager ie the person who invited you to drive for them be it Nissan GTROC or Help For Heroes etc.... The reason there were so many track cars in the field is because each car has a set number of sessions throughout the day so as not to wear out the brakes and give them chance to cool down etc... Out of interest who invited you to drive for their charity and who sent you the Track Vehicle Badge?

Okay well I had no idea that's how it worked but now it's been explained to me it makes perfect sense. I wasn't invited by a charity but was invited to the event by a friend and was sent the track pass in the Facebook group chat.

+Jonathan Rigby Ah right - so you went on track without a briefing, without a lanyard, and with no idea what to expect? Did you know about the trucks and trikes merging and what to do about it? Any other safety items required? I'm stunned - we will certainly need to think about how to stop anyone just deciding to take their car on track to suit themselves in future. It hadn't really occurred that anyone would imagine they could just do that. Could I ask which club your friend belongs to, who sent you the track pass?

You had to be part of one of the 11 clubs that were there supporting the event to go one track.......Every lap was to raise £5 for charity which is what it is all about. Do not really understand if you are part of one of one the gates or just turned up and went on track. As an organiser of the event to see any car go around again and again with out raising money is a disappointment. Taking part on track is by invitation only and a lot of hard work goes into the event each year to ensure we raise as much money as possible for charity. We will need to revisit the system I think.

It's a CHARITY day you gormless tosser. The least you can do, now you know what an idiot you are, is send an appropriate (sizeable) donation to the organisers with your apologies. Most of the other cars went with the intention of helping others, not themselves to a free track day. If you aren't going to help, don't hinder. I, for one, will be looking for a Datsun 350 Z next year and I hope I don't see one.

Oh I can see my car as well. Clearly stopping to drop off and pick up passengers. Hope I didn't slow you down too much in the pit lane.
