I am thrilled with the results and knowing MAF almost breached 130 dBA barrier makes me think my QP may be able to tick over the now established ASBO standard of 120 dBA.
I won't be able to attend Brand's Hatch event but look forward to the next gathering where I can get my in queue for ASBO batch!

I would love to see some recorded footage from the day at Brunty as well, if any one got some!

PS: Love the trophies!

120dB takes a lot to crack. You've heard mine and Adam's cars and know how loud they are. I reckon yours is not far off!

I reckon Mark - Mr Capes may break 120db, as he's running sports cats??

I've now had 4 complaints from the Neighbours. I think whatever it is, it just plain LOUD.
It seems to be louder if I haven't driven it for a few days for some reason.

I'd like to think it will breeze 120db. But until it's tested, I'll not make any bold claims.
It sets off Alex's Audi alarm when it's over the road! She's not impressed. :firing:

I think Marks (Geoff) and Mine will be similar > He has less cats but sports boxes , i have cats but straight through rears . 120Db i recon .

I think you should try my rear boxes Mark . I think it would be the loudest then .

It'll be interesting to see - will they be louder than the GTS's? We'll make Brands shake, that's for sure!

Phil - wanna have a second shot at de-throning FC??

I really cant think why?
My neighbours say the plates rattle in his kitchen cupboards when I start mine.

On Sunday he wont hear the plates - because he will still be in bed at 0730 when I reverse down the drive past his window

PS sounds good

Buy them a plate rack as a peace offering :)

I think he is getting a little confused. They have jumped on the DPF being removed on diesel cars that had them fitted as standard are now an instant fail if they have been removed. There are ways round it as always. They also implied it was an offence for a garage to remove them.

Cats can still be removed or replaced with alternatives as long as the car passes the emissions test. Although there have been murmurs they will at some point apply the same rule as DPF's to cars that should have a CAT as standard. Most cars after about 1992 or there abouts.

Caught up and had a chat about the why's and wherefore' of replacement exhausts. Apparently it is all to do with Type Approval of Vehicles and their individual components.

Passing the emissions is one thing, but having a non-type-approved component in the system is quite another. Whether any official could be bothered with an individual case is most unlikely, you can see how it would be simple for them to create an example of one of the larger, after market suppliers/fitters.

Disappointed to not make Brands and the hooligan-off between Sparts and Mark. What amazed me is that mine was louder, albeit marginally, than Phil's. His *sounds* so much louder, to me at least.

Let the games commence!

Round 2 of the hooligan-off and MAF's busted banana is still the undisputed champ!! However, there are three new members of the ASBO club (120db+), Contigo's GTS found a new lease of life, Matt's GS got close to MAF (only 1.1 db in it) and was pushed by the Lilac Love Machine and Mark's crazy 4200. Results at 1m from the exhaust:

Conaero 127.7
Mr Capes 126.7
Spart 125.2
Contigo 125.1
Richard 119.0
RSM Maser118.6
Beau 115.2
EB 113.0
BruceyB 110.0
Mav 107.6 - is it on yet?.....aiiittcchh pipe needed!
Dem 69.0 - last night apparently (headboard knocking!)
