Well everything is where it should be 100% together and no lights up or problems. Still need to wash it, bleed the rear brakes and get the wheels off tomorrow.

She looks almost pleased to be purring again!

Cheers guys, lots of stainless fittings holding the front together now. I also have a very clear idea for the improved induction system. And no fear taking the bumper off if I need to :)

Hmmm.. Don't know about that Dem, but she likes being thrashed for sure, Bruntingthorpe last year (2012) fixed all sorts of issues!

I need to clean up the garage once I have got her out of there later, it is a disgrace at the moment!

I'll be very interested to know more about this. If there is any way to reduce the risk of hydro locking the engine then I'm all ears!

Newton,
You have a great finish on the paint mate, is that dent on the nose near the badge, or just a shadow..??
Cheers

Me too, if there's a gain to be had by clearing Doris's airways a little...the Vic's nasal spray of engines!

Rob, not dented, it is the start of the bonnet bulge mate!

Mark/Chris; the induction will remove the air box altogether, there is potential to use a tunnel outside of the radiator cowling to direct or open airflow to the wheel arch with a small modification. It would be up to you if you then wanted to close the bottom opening in the bumper or add rubber flaps to the arch liner that would open if hit by water! End of hydro lock issues and a better breathing engine :)

The wet look is courtesy of zymöl atlantique wax :D

So I finally finished bleeding the brakes or changing the brake fluid which was the job I started nearly 7 months ago and ended up dismantling most of the front! The wheels are off, cleaned and in the van for a trip to the tyre shop tomorrow. A full set of winters awaits :) putting the wheels back on is all that remains for the MOT but that won't be tomorrow now, may well be Friday!

Will do Rob but it may be easier to photo the finished item when completed.

Just a quick shot of her as I packed up tonight sitting up on stands.
