Picked the QP up yesterday evening. Couldn't really do much more with her than trundle home in relatively heavy traffic. But, first impression is that it's a much more luxurious place to be in compared to the 4200. The power is delivered in a languid surges, rather than in the urgent spring of the 42.

It's going to be perfect for what we have planned for it. Long, cross country and cross continent wafting.

Will do. But first, I'm off to photograph the TWO Maseratis that I currently own. OK, I'm dropping the 4200 off at Nuvola soon. But, I would like a record of this golden time when I could truthfully say that I've got two Massers in my garage!

:D

(If I had my way, I'd keep the 4200 too!)

I've just discovered this thread but it's too long. What's the precis?

I wanted to get a QP as the family had got too big for the 4200 and we needed a luxo-cruiser for cross country and cross continent wafting. Chaps on here especially AndyK gave me some links to some cars for sale. I went and saw one. It was good. I ummed and Ahhed. People told me to get my finger out and buy it. I bought it yesterday. So, at the present time, I'm the proud owner of these two:

However, on Wednesday, the 4200 leaves me for Nareman of Nuvola London. I will be so very sad to see her go. These cars are so different.

Oh and if you're a bad 'un and are thinking of cloning the reg numbers, I wouldn't bother as they'll both be on totally different plates by next week.

:D

Elliott, that's a beautiful car - well done. Now get ready for loads of envious stares from those drivers that want to own a QP (all of them) and knowing nods from those that do!

Thanks everyone.

Looks good mate, can't read the reg numbers in any case.

O/T

Strangely, on my laptop where I distorted the image to conceal the number plates, the photo appears untouched. Even if I renew the link to the altered image in my Photobucket account. However, on my phone and as made clear by your comment, on everyone else's machines, the image IS distorted.

Just about to head off in the 4200 for the last time. I'm taking her over to Nuvola this morning. I'm really going to miss her. She was a wonderful introduction to Maserati for me.

Just arrived home - by tube - Nareman was impressed by the 2400's condition. Which was nice. It was quite emotional to bid her farewell. There's a lot of happy memories connected with journeys that were made in that car. Still, I've a new Masser to play with now and many more miles and happy memories ahead.

:)

Elliott,
The experience must have touched you mate, calling her a 2400 just so that you do not have to actually admit the 4200 has gone, we appreciate your pain..!!
Cheers
