@ Dhanj. I assume that the gearbox the same as in my 4200. My OH is a good driver used to driving big cars and although she never got to drive my 42, she'll get the hang of the new car in no time. After all, she only needs to worry about changing up. The car changes diwn by itself if need be.

One rule. SPORT IS ENGAGED AT ALL TIMES!

Sport mode is great but it retards MSP a huge amount on Masers. Worth remembering if it's cold and wet and you are on summer tyres.

Ok, I may not be picking the car up until Sunday. But, already my mind has begun to focus on the really important stuff. Such as exhaust sound.

I experimented briefly with Larini back boxes on my 4200. However, the in-cabin resonance at the 2,000 to 3,500 rev. range really was too jarring for my liking, so I moved them on. I am wondering whether the QP is more accommodating? I don't want too harsh a sound as the car will mostly be used for long, cross country and continental journeys. No, what I want - need - is a deep, rasping bark under acceleration accompanied by a mellow burbling at motorway and pootling speeds.

Would a straight through centre section do the job? Are QP Larini back boxes any different in their sound characteristics? I assume that they would be identical in manufacture to the 4200 ones. Do other manufacturers have something that would de the job? What would you fit to yours?

Sorry Elliott, I have said as much on the forum before but I don't think a QP suits an after-market exhaust mate. Try the one on the car for a while at least. Personally, I think it sounds fantastic as it is!

Yep. It's only flippin' Tuesday. Having said that, I took the 4200 out to the body shop this morning to get a quote on a small car park ding. God, I'm going to miss her. :(

I was told off last night by the other half. She had searched PH for the QP advert. Of course, it had been taken down. However, she'd checked all of the others in that section. so, I got reprimanded for not "Buying the yellow one. You know that I like yellow cars".
