Snap her up Elliot.....Seems a great value car and different from all the blacks, greys and blues.......When you look at the other for sale at this price she just stands out in the crowd...

I'm sorely tempted. There's a caution by the MOT centre on the front disks. What would they cost to replace?

Right. I'll sleep on it, check with Admiral with whom I've begun a multi-car policy which will include my currently owned 4200 when its policy with Tescos runs out in April. I need to know the new cost of the policy.

Anyone want to buy a 2005 facelift 4200CC? 30,500 miles, fully serviced including the major 31k one. New clutch less than 100 miles ago. Black with tan interior? PM me for full details

Yes, that's rhe one, Dhanj. It is a beautiful colour, Blox. My OH absolutely loves it. She thinks that my black 4200 looks like and I quote, "A gangster hitman's" car. Which, when you think about it, isn't such a bad thing.

I pick the QP up on Sunday.

Congrats once again Elliott. Agree with Andy that it's a fantastic colour combo to make a great looking car. Always been a fan of the darker colour combined with the light beige/sand/pearl interiors. Whether its black/sand, navy/beige (Enzo's favorite) or your recent choice of Pontevecchio/pearl, they all work beautifully. I look forward to seeing it in the flesh at a future meet.

One word of advice now you have gone DS. I think you'll enjoy mastering the gear changes and find it rewarding doing so - men generally do :) But my advice is to encourage the OH to drive the car in manual mode too. You may be surprised how quickly she picks it up and enjoys doing so in the process. I took my wife down a quite road with a slope and taught her how to move off on an incline using the handbrake and made sure she always remembered that it was a manual gearbox under the skin and would role back unless she had the clutch engaged by feathering the throttle. Once she had that in her head, I encouraged her to use the car in manual mode in order to smooth out the gearchanges. They can be awful in D they really can (especially when pottering around town or going round tight roundabouts). Trust me, she will enjoy driving the car so much more if she goes down the M (as opposed to D) route! Good luck.

It looks lovely Elliott. A really nice combo in very good condition. Enjoy. Hopefully we will see it at a meet sometime soon.

@ Dhanj. I assume that the gearbox the same as in my 4200. My OH is a good driver used to driving big cars and although she never got to drive my 42, she'll get the hang of the new car in no time. After all, she only needs to worry about changing up. The car changes diwn by itself if need be.

One rule. SPORT IS ENGAGED AT ALL TIMES!
