Update regarding a 4200 silicone set of cooling hoses.

Matt very kindly sent me the updated single piece rear of engine heater feed hose and on Tuesday I dropped that into the specialist. Today I got a call from them and spoke at length to the chief engineer who has been making hoses for 30 or years. He is bringing the hoses with him tomorrow to measure them all in situ to check for any improvement or potential rubs. Really chuffed as it will end up with a pucka set of pipes.

Ask him if he can keep the patterns so we can order a full set and then he'll know what pipes to supply.

Going with blue at the moment to distinguish them from rubber but I dare say red could be just as easy or funky colours if you want :)

Wow, wow and WOW!!! The specialist has just left and I think we have put the world to right... Clicked instantly and the project has expanded a bit!

We are going to have a better than OEM pipe kit and then we are going to sort out a gas flowed induction kit that will move the intake to a better and higher location. And an impressive gain is a likely as a bonus. Then he wants to move on to the manifolds and cats to get more big gains!

I'm happy to go along with all this with confidence but the priority is the pipe kit.

Catman, I may need you to visit to demonstrate the power spread of a stock 4200 engine to him; it will help him get the induction best for the engine (now you start to get a feel for how much this guy knows) :)

I don't want the world to know what I've got under there!! All they need to know is that it goes fast and makes a lot of noise!

Just say the word, my man. Although funds are tighter than I would like, I'm stupidly worried about taking mine out in the rain, now. Anything I can do to assist :)

He would like to know just how a stock delivers bottom, mid and top punch so he can engineer the induction gain at the best point, apparently it is entirely possible...
